Hello, all MHS Seniors!
First, I hope everyone is safe and healthy. Second, we miss you so much! This is such an extreme time in history. I am so sad it is happening at the end of your Senior year. We are proud of your efforts and everything you have done in the past 4 years. Keep working on remote learning and finish the end of the year strong. Your participation is required, don’t let anyone tell you differently. We will get you more information about items as they develop. In the meantime try and regulate your schedule, and what you eat. Get some exercise and stay healthy!

A MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT BARKER:
May 1, 2020
Dear SCM Family,
This afternoon Governor Holcomb announced his 5 Stages to get Indiana Back on Track plan. We have been awaiting these guidelines prior to making an announcement regarding our graduation ceremony for the Senior Class of 2020. The easiest thing may have been for us to cancel graduation and plan for these activities to be virtual. However, in our efforts to provide the best opportunities for our seniors we have held out hope that we might be able to bring them together one last time to honor and celebrate them.
In preparation, we have been working with a cross-section of students, parents, teachers, and administrators to develop a plan that allows us to celebrate and honor our graduating seniors. In light of the Governor’s announcement today, we are tentatively planning for a physical graduation to be held on the evening of Friday, July 24, 2020. We realize restrictions may be required regarding limiting the number of guests in attendance, along with social distancing still in force. The details of this event will be planned in accordance with the most up-to-date recommendations of the Indiana State Department of Health, and shared with you as they are finalized. There remain many things outside of our control for this to happen, but we are excited to announce these tentative plans tonight.
Finally, we want to thank you once again for your support. We are blessed to serve you.
