JYMS Back to School Events

  • CLASS SCHEDULES
    Students in 8th grade will receive their schedules on the first day of school or can get it in Skyward. Students in 7th grade will receive their schedules during the Incoming 7th Grade Jump Start event. 

    INCOMING 7TH GRADE JUMP START
    It can be scary in a new school. The Incoming 7th Grade Jump Start is a time for students to receive their schedule and leave feeling prepared for their first day at JYMS.

    August 7 & 8, 2023
    9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    • MEET your teachers and learn more about your schedule.
    • MAKE new friends and connect with old ones.
    • LEARN where your classes are located and the layout of JYMS.
    • FIND your locker and practice opening it with your lock combination.
    • PARTICIPATE in team and community building activities.

    We'll see you on August 7 or 8!
    (You get to pick which day your child attends)

    JYMS FALL SPORTS PHYSICAL NIGHT

    • DATE: July 31, 2023
    • TIME: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
    • LOCATION: John Young Middle School (enter through Door A)
    • COST: $25 (Cash ONLY)

    All sports participants MUST have a completed physical form on file to begin tryouts and/or practice. JYMS football, cross country, soccer, and volleyball begin August 1, 2023. Students interested in any of these sports must have their physical done before August 1.
