• Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) is committed to expanding quality computer science education in Indiana. Governor Eric Holcomb and the Indiana General Assembly have indicated computer science education as a priority through the passage of SEA 172, requiring every school, by 2021, to incorporate computer science in the school's curriculum for students in grades K-12. We are developing a computer science pathway for all students. Developing this pathway is important not only because of the emerging career relevance of Computer Science in all industries, but also because of the need to address long-standing opportunity gaps related to race and gender.
