Pay Periods

  • Salaries of substitutes will be paid by electronic direct deposit following the School City of Mishawaka payroll dates. The office of Human Resources can provide you with a list of paydays.

    Because of the time needed for payroll reports and for processing checks, the pay period for substitutes includes only days up to the payroll reporting date.

    All mandated payroll deductions will be made (Federal Withholding, Social Security, Indiana Gross, etc.). All substitutes must complete a “Record of Membership/Designation of Beneficiary” form for the Indiana State Teachers' Retirement Fund. (Note: Substitute teachers who will be having Teacher Retirement deducted must complete the appropriate form and return to the Business Office as soon as possible.)
