Service Retirement Credit

  • A substitute teacher holding a valid Indiana teacher's license, who is a member of the State Teachers' Retirement Fund, and who teaches at least 120 days in the school year, receives one year of service credit toward retirement. If a teacher substitutes at least 60 days but less than 120 days in the school year, s/he will receive one-half year of service credit toward retirement.
