School City of Mishawaka is proud to announce that Board of School Trustees Vice President Mellissa Johnson has been appointed to serve on the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) Nominating Committee, representing Region 2.

The ISBA Nominating Committee is comprised of one school board member from each of Indiana's 10 ISBA regions. The committee is responsible for recommending a slate of candidates to serve on the ISBA Board of Directors, helping guide the leadership and future direction of the statewide organization.

Members of the committee considered nominees for ISBA Officers and Directors, who are elected by the ISBA Delegate Assembly during the Association's Annual Fall Conference. Officers serve two-year terms, while Directors serve three-year terms.

The Indiana School Boards Association supports excellence in local school board governance through professional learning, advocacy, policy development, and legal guidance for school corporations throughout Indiana.

Congratulations to Mellissa Johnson on this outstanding accomplishment and thank you for your continued service to the students, staff, families, and community of School City of Mishawaka.
