Mrs. Amy Gebby Honored with December Game Changer Award

We proudly recognize Mrs. Amy Gebby, a dedicated 5th grade teacher at Emmons Elementary School, as the recipient of the December Game Changer Award for her outstanding commitment to student achievement and growth in mathematics.

Mrs. Gebby’s instructional success is rooted in her collaborative approach to teaching. By co-teaching alongside an Exceptional Learners teacher, she ensures that all students receive inclusive, targeted instruction designed to meet diverse learning needs.

Her efforts have produced exceptional results. On the ILEARN Mathematics Checkpoint #1, Mrs. Gebby’s current 5th grade students scored at the state average and above the district average. Additionally, student performance increased by 23% from their 4th grade checkpoint scores and by 17% compared to their official 4th grade ILEARN results.
