Media Relations Information
All media inquiries should be directed to the SCM Communications Department. Exception: routine athletic activity news coverage can be handled by the Athletic Department.
The Director of Communications & Project Management should be contacted when a representative of the media requests to visit a school or arrives at a school without prior approval. If a member of the media visits an SCM site without prior approval, he or she should be asked to leave and directed to contact the Director of Communications & Project Management.
Media personnel may be allowed at schools to interview staff or students during the school day with (1) approval from the Director of Communications & Project Managment and (2) appropriate notification to the school or building administrator.
All requests for media coverage should come through the corporation's communications office. The Director of Communications & Project Management will coordinate all media coverage and determine the best spokesperson for the corporation.
