• AM SESSION
    STEM LEARNING ADVENTURES
    All 5 Weeks: June 24 - July 24 (off July 4-5)
    Students will participate in hands-on activities to complete a variety of engineering projects and some basic coding activities to communicate with an Ozobot. Students interested in working cooperatively with peers in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math are encouraged to sign-up for some fun.

    FITKIDS LEARNING ADVENTURES
    All 5 weeks: Included for all students
    kroc center logo After lunch all students will participate in 30 minutes of fun physical activity presented by the Salvation Army Kroc Center FitKids Program. Kroc FitKids is a free program designed to support the process of learning and practicing helathy lifestyle choices to reduce childhood obesity and lessen the risks of suffering complications from being overweight in their adulthood.

    MUSIC LEARNING ADVENTURES
    Week 1: June 24-28
    the music village logo We will take a musical adventure with musical games, learning and singing a variety of songs, work with an assortment of instruments, make observations, explore rhythms, discover the science behind music, and write songs.

  • ANIMAL LEARNING ADVENTURES
    Week 2: July 1-3 (off July 4-5)
    humane society of saint joseph county logo The Humane Society of St. Joseph County staff and volunteers will discuss basic animal care, the role of the Humane Society in our community, and plenty of safety tips to keep children safe around our furry companions. Adoptable animals will be on-site at the animal learning adventure.

    potawatomi zoo log Zoo-to-School Outreach Program will allow students to meet 3-4 zoo animals and learn about physical and behavioral adaptations that help them survive, how animals in different habitats find resources to survive, and how the ecosystem includes all living and non-living things.

  • THEATRE LEARNING ADVENTURES
    Week 3: July 8-12
    female student with microphone on stage This adventure is a fun, high-energy program that allows students to fully engage their imaginations as they experience the thrill of creating live theatre. From learning the basic techniques of acting for the stage, to developing improvisation and physical comedy skills, to putting it all together in a public performance, it’s an experience your child will never forget.

  • ART LEARNING ADVENTURES
    Week 4: July 15-19
    child with painted hands Your child will explore examining art in a wide variety of mediums and hands on learning experiences. With freedom of explorations, students will be empowered to use creativity of expression.

  • ACTIVE LEARNING ADVENTURES
    Week 5: July 22-24
    the ymca logo Active learning provides a safe, thriving environment for students to explore personal interests, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills, discover the creativity and health benefits of physical activity, and explore a variety of team sports games.
